UX/UI App Redesign

About the Project

About the Project

Back in Stock is a Shopify integration that assists business owners by notifying their customers when items are back in stock at their stores. Customers can be notified instantly through customizable text, push notifications and email.

The app was in need of an overhaul to modernize the interface, improve the user experience and pave the way for the implementation of new features.

The Approach

The Approach

The project kicked off with support ticket analysis, followed by conducting user surveys. Through this process a variety of friction areas and user pain points were uncovered that helped pave the way to improving the user experience.

When considering the UI refresh, it was important to maintain the Back in Stock brand identity and yet elevate it to modern standards. Improving the reporting and customization features were a must, and had to be done in a way that was visually appealing and intuitive to the user.

Defining the Flow

Defining the Flow

My first step in the design process was to conduct an initial audit of the app. Considering the data from support tickets and user surveys, I then created a revised information architecture where I strategically planned the improved user flow for the product.
